Strict legal obligation
Under the NIS2 directive (Decree 17/2025. EM), it is mandatory for information security officers (ISOs) to complete 20 hours of basic training, while executives must complete 8 hours, followed by 4 hours of continuing education annually.

Upcoming deadline
For information security officers (IBF) appointed before December 31, 2025, the statutory deadline for completing the training is December 31, 2026.
